I'm personally not into the whole "third person" biographies since it makes me sound way more official than I really am, so here is a snippet of my story.

To get a better picture of my DJ career, I actually need to take you back to when I was a very overweight 5th grader in my hometown of Lorton, VA, right outside Washington D.C. At this point, I had just started learning how to play drums and immediately fell in love with it. I started off in a school band and took lessons where my instructor, Dennis Morely, introduced me to the classic rock hits and influencers of the 80s. It's pretty cool to reflect and remember how I'd be in my bedroom and one minute, I would be blasting Rush and air drumming with Neil Peart then dancing to Usher's "Yeah!" a few minutes later.

Throughout the rest of my childhood, I continued to play and decided that I wanted to major in Music when I went to college. After the audition process with many schools, I decided to attend James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, where I made some of the best memories in my life and where I got my start as a DJ in a pretty unusual "sink or swim" way.

One of my close friends was the resident DJ at the big college bar in town called Back Country. It would get packed out with hundreds of local college kids every Thursday, singing and dancing along to all of the hits all night long. Shortly before he graduated in the summer of 2017, I flat out asked him if I could be the new resident DJ and he said yes. Keep in mind, I had never DJ'd before in my entire life at this point. He connected me with the owner, I invested in gear which I needed for the gig and used my current music knowledge from drumming to learn as much as I could during the summer before my first gig. And not to sound cliche, but the rest is history.

Since then, I've been amazed with the opportunities that have come my way since starting off in small town Harrisonburg, VA. I moved to Nashville in early 2019 to pursue the dream of being a fulltime DJ after experiencing its nightlife while in college, which has without a doubt been the best choice. I've had the opportunity to play at a number of the busiest bars, clubs, and private event venues in town. Most recently, I have taken on the role of DJ Manager with Icon Entertainment where I play and handle the booking of DJs for their primary venues in downtown, Nudie's and Johnny Cash's, which has been a blast.

And that's really all there is to say about me. I'm blessed to say the whole "starving musician" lifestyle has been paying off for me so far and am excited to see where life continues to take me. If I didn't bore you from all of this, feel free to check out my socials and say "Hello", I'd love to hear from you.
